The center’s architecture, designed by Moshe Safdie, is nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains near the Sepulveda Pass and includes a museum, a performing arts center, conference halls, classrooms, libraries, courtyards, gardens, and a café. The Skirball also presents a range of public programs and serves approximately 60,000 schoolchildren and teachers annually.
The Skirball Cultural Center is committed to promoting cultural experiences that celebrate discovery and hope, foster human connections, and call upon us to help build a more just society. The center’s mission is deeply rooted in Jewish heritage and inspired by its values, with a focus on welcoming the stranger, honoring memory, seeking learning, pursuing justice, building community, and showing kindness.
