It offers compelling and culturally enriching exhibitions, educational programs, and public programming, including music, dance, film and documentary screenings, family day activities, workshops, and roundtables. The museum’s interactive exhibits are designed to share untold stories and provide transformative experiences that inspire visitors to connect with and contribute to the ever-evolving story of Mexican and Mexican American culture in Los Angeles.
LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is situated in the historic heart of Los Angeles, near the site where the city was founded in 1781. The museum’s 2.2-acre campus includes two historic buildings from the 1880s, the Vickrey-Brunswig Building and the Plaza House.
